Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod Shipping Policy
Due to each state's individual shipping laws and regulations Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod will only ship wine into select states. All wines are sold in Massachusetts and title passes to the buyer in Massachusetts. We make no representation as to the rights of anyone to import wine into any state outside of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order. Due to the changing of direct-shipping laws and regulations, the list of states that we ship to may change at any time. We will contact you by email if your order is negatively affected by new shipping regulations. At this time we do not ship any online store products outside the United States. Applicable sales tax will be added to your order at check out.
All alcoholic beverage orders must be placed and received by a person 21 years of age or older. All of the states’ laws require an adult signature at the time of delivery. Failure to produce age verification upon request forfeits the right to receive the shipment until identification is produced. In such circumstances, the order will be shipped back to us at your expense.
You are responsible for all shipping charges unless we agree otherwise. Shipping charges will be calculated during the online ordering process. Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable unless we sent the wrong item.
In our experience, you are likely to receive a shipment sooner if an adult will be available to sign for shipments at the Ship To address during business hours. FedEx will not deliver within a specified time window. For that reason we recommend using a business address. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes. Due to the hand-crafted nature of some products, gift packs and custom orders please allow 3-5 business days for orders to process then ship.
If not available for delivery FedEx will typically leave a door tag indicating their failed attempt to deliver. Customers who call the toll free number on their door tag and reference their delivery can request a specific day that will work best for delivery or request the package be held at their local FedEx facility for pick-up. We subscribe to FedEx's HOME DELIVERY service and Saturday deliveries are an option. After 3 unsuccessful delivery attempts the package will be deemed undeliverable and held at the local FedEx facility for pick-up. If unclaimed FedEx will return the package.
